With more golf courses per capita than any other region in America except Myrtle Beach, it is safe to say Cape Cod is a golfer’s paradise.
There is a reason why golfing is so wide spread on Cape Cod. The temperate weather climate—temperatures rarely drop below 45 degrees—and sandy soils, which allow the fairways to dry quickly after it rains, allow for ideal, year-round golfing conditions.

Olde Barnstable Fairgrounds G.C. opened in 1992 and is one of two Municipal Golf Courses in the Town of Barnstable. The Town established ownership of Hyannis Golf Course in 2006 so members can now enjoy two great championship courses.
