Blink and you might just miss the quaint, yet elegant getaway situated in historic East Orleans. On the road to famous Nauset Beach, the restaurant is neither "beachy" nor "clubby." Brace yourself for waht Zagat calls "the most sophisticated italian restaurant on the Cape." The alta cucina, or high cuisine, of Northern Italy is complemented by an award-winning wine cellar. Open Year Round. Reservations suggested.
Local seafood, the finest meat and game, and seasonal domestic and imported produce and meats are featured. The cuisine's simplicity emphasizes fresh ingredients. Authentic recipes and classic creativity are evident in our homemade pastas and desserts, antipasti and wood grilled entrees.
The talented culinary team is led by Fredrick Stoffel, formally of the regionally aclaimed restaurants, Brewster Fish House and l'Alouette. An uncommonly large selection of small production and estate wines from Italy and America are paired to our seasonal menus. Wines are value priced, well below restaurant standard. Linen, Reidel crystal and Villeroy & Boch china are counterpoints to the restaurant's casual and relaxed atmosphere.Fireplace and wood burning oven add ambience, warmth and delicious aromas.
The menu changes frequently. Daily specials capture the freshest available ingredients. An early prix fixe menu offers three courses of unusual and delicious food at prices favoring those who enjoy eating out frequently.
Wine dinners, a late Fall Truffle Dinner and special holiday menus make the Nauset Beach Club a favorite destination year round. Kudos from Zagat's, Wine Spectator, the Insider's Guide, Cape Cod Life, Fodor's, Boston Herald and the Cape Cod culinary press. The Nauset Beach Club is as good as the finest in Boston and New York. Reservations are welcome.
